Hypertension and Removal of Teeth
When a patient is hypertensive and needs extractions then usually the extraction is delayed till the blood pressure is under control.
While extraction the local anesthesia given should not have any content of the drug adrenaline
The above precautions are taken to ensure that there is no prolonged bleeding.
2. Diabetes mellitus and removal of Teeth
Uncontrolled diabetes is again a contra indication for extraction. Blood Sugar level should be in normal range before extraction
This is necessary to avoid prolonged period of wound healing and recurrent bleeding.
